Meet Josh

readysounds is the brain child of Josh Johnson – a lifelong music enthusiast. During his teens he played music throughout the north NJ punk scene and evolved into a producer/DJ in Baltimore and New York City.

Eventually he landed his first career role at Capitol Music Group, where he coordinated for the PR and digital marketing team, pushing records from artists such as Katy Perry, Rosanne Cash, Amos Lee, and many others. Nights and weekends were dedicated to producing tracks for upcoming artists, and writing music for cable TV shows like "Catfish" and "Are You The One?"

Life brought him to the Philly suburbs, where he now shares his days with his wife, two boys, and pup Dakota. Today, the focus is helping fellow musicians learn how to write and record, offering insights into production, branding, marketing, and the music business at large. Josh produces new tracks monthly for the readysounds music library - making it convenient for content producers to enhance their visual content with high quality compositions.
